The Ladies on "The View" make McCain squirm

When taken out of the safe confines of stump speeches to friendly audiences, many of John McCain's positions (and I'd wager Sarah Palin's) unravel under scrutiny. I hope there is much more of this direct interrogation from the fourth estate. Who knew "The View" would lead the charge?

Obama's appearence with Bill O'Reilly

I actually watched the entire interview, which Bill-O cut up and showed over four days. It was pretty cowardly, in that Bill and his panelists could set up and then analyze the clips, bringing all sorts of spin to the "no spin zone". But the following clip appeared on Letterman, with the interview footage re-cut to give the gist of the O'Reilly experience. O'Reilly oversimplifies issues and creates black-or-white questions that try to eliminate nuance. Worst of all, O'Reilly asks these ridiculous questions and then cuts off his guest as they try to answer.

The Daily Show strikes back

Last night The Daily Show aired its 2nd day of coverage of the Republican Convention. The team was firing on all cylinders, and I believe it is the greatest complete episode to date.
